Big update =)

Such a big update time.

So my babe and I have been dating for 2 years and 7 months now =) yay us.

I'm enrolled in a new school but still going for nursing. I'll be done this year August and I'm super excited!

I went to his aunt's cottage for halloween and had an amazing time there. I carved my first pumpkin! I was quite proud actually cause it came out perfect.

I went to go visit him for my Christmas break and it was absolutely lovely. We opened presents and hung out with each other. We went bowling and I beat him. But on a fair note, he tore a ligament on his right, middle finger so he bowled with his left hand. Which was quite impressive! He took me out to fancy dinners and we took a stroll around downtown. It was all lit up with lights.

Then we went to Chicago to spend time with his family. I spent Christmas with them since my family doesn't really celebrate Christmas. His parents took us out for pizza and his mom showed us around downtown. I've never been downtown Chicago and I go there once every year. I saw the Big Bean! I got to meet his dad's side of the family which I've never met before. His uncle did bring up his ex...it was very awkward and I didn't know how to respond so I just shrugged it off...pretended like I didn't hear it. But his uncle did make fun of her name...as evil as I am, it made up for him bringing her up in the first place.

Lastly, we went to Holland to spend time with my family. My mom treated everyone to dinner. My sister and her husband went and my other sister and her boyfriend went and then my hunny and myself, and of course, my parents. It was really nice. My sister got us a little dog for Christmas so we played with him a lot through out his visit. My love got a little jealous because the dog got more attention from me than he did. Haha. But yeah, overall, amazing trip.

Now I'm back in school, studying my ass of and trying to graduate and get my license. Then, of course, I'll be moving in with my boyfriend and working and we'll see where things go from there. There's my life for now...

I recently made a big decision in my life.

I decided that I could no longer take the old traditional college learning so I'm enrolling in a career institute. Learn what I need to and start working.

The traditional college was a waste of my time and money. The nursing program actually only takes 2 years to complete when you get into it, but the prereqs are what gets ya. I was taking HISTORY classes and for what? Who the hell knows. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with nursing and it was absolutely unnecessary.

The program at the institute will only take exactly a year to complete, after that, I can go take the test, pass it, and get my license, and BAM. All done

It's gonna be a hell of a lot of work but I'm ready. Mon.-Fri., 8-5 classes =/ Yikes... That's a full time job right there.

Hopefully the year will go by fast and I'll be done before I know it. After the year and after I get my license, I'll be able to move down with my bf and start our lives as a normal couple...finally!
Anyway...

What a Beachy Day

I think I'm due for an update.

Nothing much has happened I guess. Back at school for summer classes.

I went home this past weekend for Mother's Day. M came and visited me and it was so amazing. He finally met my family and everyone at my mom's restaurant who's been dying to meet him. It was a great visit. Coincidently, he came during our Tulip Time Festival so he got to see the parade and Dutch Dancers. We also went to the beach and it was just such a beautiful day.

He's not very good at taking pictures either, so I took it.

We also went shopping for Mother's Day. I got my mom and his mom flowers and chocolates. He got my mom a vase of roses. It was gorgeous. We dropped it off at the restaurant on Mother's Day and it was soooo busy.

On the verge of pandemonium

Last week was the most dreadful week I've ever experienced.

I had a really important issue I needed to discuss with M and it was an issue that could break us up for good. I regret doing it but I was young, immature and stupidity got the best of me. By the way, if you're thinking I cheated on him...no, I didn't. Nothing of that sort, but it was something big.

I had written him an e-mail, it was like a novel, telling him how sorry I was and how much I regretted doing the thing I did in hopes of him understanding at least slightly why I did it but I had no sympathies from him what-so-ever. I know, an e-mail, psh. But I suck at confrontations and he lives hours away from me. I couldn't do it over the phone because of how emotional I would get, and he wouldn't understand me one bit. Anyway, he read the email and I was waiting insanely patient until he finally responded with, "How could you do this to me?" Those 7 words hit me hard and I mean, it knocked me out. We talked for a little bit, well, actually, he talked and I just listened. He told me how upset he was and how I could've done this to him and he went on and on all the while I, on the other end, was weeping my eyes dry. He told me he needed time to think it over. I hated how much I hurt him and it was painful for the next 3 days.

He had to think over things and I gave him his space. I slept only 7 hours total in 3 days, I didn't eat very much which resulted in me losing 5 pounds, each day I woke up with swollen eyes from the hardcore crying I did the previous night and it was just terrible.

This guy meant the whole world to me and I could lose him forever over something stupid...

*Again, I did NOT cheat on him*

Sunday night, we talked over the phone about it, he decided to give me a second chance. I know I lost his trust but I'm ready to work as hard as I possibly can to gain it all back. And now, we're all good.

He's coming up in May to meet my parents and eat at my parents' restaurant which he's been wanting to do.

All is well. I consider myself to be the luckiest girl in the world. I'm so thankful to have met him.

Have you ever done anything that lost your SO's trust?
How did he/she react to the situation?
Did he/she forgive you right away? Or did they need time to think about it?
Did he/she hold a grudge against you because of the issue?

Big Commitment

I had a really fun spring break.

I always hate leaving him...it's such a sucky feeling, but it's gotta be done. My flight was delayed 2 hours...it was terrible. I'm home safely though.

We went bowling, played ping pong, I watched him play basketball, we went out to a fancy dinner, snuggled and cuddled a lot, watched some movies, walked downtown, had starbuck's. There was a couple of days that the weather was amazingly wonderful. He cooked me a wonderful dinner with all the foods I loved; steak, mashed potatoes, and corn. It was amazingly delicious.

He also gave me a key to his apartment. It was a great feeling. I love just seeing his key hanging on my keychain with the rest of my keys.

I really hate coming back after visiting him...I feel so lonely...Talking online just isn't the same...at all!

Anyway...I'll just leave it at this for now.

I'll be seeing my love in less than a week! I am super excited. This is also the shortest time in between visits we ever had. The longest...8 months! Yikes...never letting that happen again.

Moving along, I saw on the news a couple of days ago that in UK they banned kissing in the rail stations. They have kissing and no kissing zones; like the US have smoking and non-smoking areas. They decided to do such a thing because couples were taking too long to say goodbye and backing up traffic. I found it rather humorous.

What do you think?
Would you be okay with limiting your kissing areas?

I, for one, would like to be able to kiss my SO whenever I'd like and wherever I'd like. I'm not saying a whole make-out session would be appropriate but just a peck or a few.

One of my friends was hanging out in my room today and we were just talking and the subject of my long distance relationship came up.

Him: Are you still with that one guy?

Me: Yeah, been a year and 9 months.

Him: Aren't you ever worried about him?

Me: Huh?

Him: Are you ever worried about him cheating on you since you guys are so far away from each other?

Me: No, never.

Him: Really?

Me: Yeah, we've built a really strong trust between us, I trust him whole-heartedly. I have nothing to worry about.

Him: Wow, I don't know how you do it but that's awesome.

Yeah...I was worried about him during the very beginning of our relationship. It was my first serious long distance relationship and yeah, I had trust issues...big time. I kept all my feelings in because deep down I knew that I could trust him but my mind wouldn't let me. I don't know, it was all so confusing at that stage.

I didn't quickly adjust, but I knew I had to. He had given me no reason not to trust him so it would be unfair for him if I kept assuming that he was doing something unfaithful.

I'm really glad I changed, I didn't want to be that psycho girlfriend who had to keep tabs on my guy's every move (which would be already difficult because of the distance (not saying I would anyways)).

Even though we've talked for 5 years beforehand, it was different when you were finally in a relationship and exclusive. He always talked about his then-girlfriends and towards the end, I felt jealous, because I had already developed feelings for this guy.

All I have to say is...I am the luckiest girl alive.

Trust, honesty, loyalty, responsibility, faithfulness, communication, and the desire to work on any and all problems will help create the best relationship for you; among many other things. Those are just the most important to work on if you lack any.

I went with the Lasko Platinum Tower Fan :) I hope it doesn't dissappoint me or my boyfriend.

Anyway, I also bought him a Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset (I got myself the Jabra er...something Bluetooth Headset, hehe), and I got a recordable Valentine's Day card that I'm going to give him in person. I'm going to go see him during my Spring Break so we're celebrating Valentine's Day a little late.

I love buying him gifts even if it's not a holiday, I'm not sure why. It makes me feel good and he loves the gifts so win-win.

I'm so tired right now and I really have nothing to blog about, so...I think I'm going to talk on the phone and then fall asleep.

This is a sucky blog but you know what? I don't care, 'cause I'm tired. :P

So, it's my boyfriend and I's 1 year and 9 months anniversary :)

I really never thought I'd meet someone so perfect (for me), and meeting online none-the-less. It was a freak coincidence that we were at the same place at the same time online. Crazy, huh? I still have strong feelings for him as I did 2 years ago. :) I still get those butterfly-in-my-stomach feeling, the nervousness of seeing him again, and my heart still beats so fast it feels like i'm going to faint. Hehe. Anyway, enough of the mushy stuff. I love him a lot and i'll leave it at that.

I'm not sure which one is more pretty?

So...The Superbowl, eh? :) I'd honestly would like to see the Cardinals win, but that's just me.

Ok, on to relationship stuff...

I was looking through my Myspace, because I was bored and didn't want to do homework. Anyway, I was reading this girl's bulletin board and her life is miserable (as she states). I used to somewhat date her kind-of boyfriend (I will explain all in good time). Can I say, I am SO glad I'm not with him anymore.

I somewhat dated him for about 6 months I think. It was an online thing and we had planned to meet each other soon. This was about 3 or 4 years ago. I was young, immature, and stupid and pretty much a nerd. Ha. Anyhow, towards the end of 5 months "dating" I got online and saw some girl's picture on his display picture on MSN. I took it as a hint.

I didn't talk to him for a couple of days, and he didn't try and talk to me. Sweet of him, huh? I think he finally got the point and IMed me. We talked it out and it was a mutual break-up. I didn't really care because again, I was young and stupid and I had no intentions on getting serious with him.

He met the chick online through a friend and she lived closer to him so okay, whatever. I understand people would want someone closer and she was pretty so go for it. I didn't have strong feelings for him either.

After a couple months of that whole situation, my now-boyfriend got back online (he stopped coming online for a year or so). We started talking again and we hit it off right away.

C started going out with the girl, they hit it off as well. They dated for about 2 years or so and they bought an apartment together. They both didn't finish high school, neither of them got their GED, and they both had low-paying jobs and still do. C refused to grow up and still refuses to. Anyhow, he still proposed to the girl and everything went downhill from there. The girl wants to do something with her life, she wants to go back to school and get a better job and she eventually wants to have a family. She would have one now but she is financially not ready at all. Needless to say, when she had enough of C, she broke off the engagement.

They still lived together after she broke off the engagement and after a couple of months, they tried to start their relationship again. C tried harder this time, he got a better job, helped around the apartment, and was just a better boyfriend. When that little stage was through, he went back to his old self; partied too much, didn't help with the bills, didn't comfort her when she needed comfort, etc. He became that immature douche bag again (I think he deserves the name).

Now, she is miserable, they're not together anymore but still lives together, and she wishes she could move out.

I was reading all the things she wrote on the bulletin, and I couldn't stop thinking to myself how lucky I was. I don't want to come off as a bitch or anything, but I'm glad he left me for her. If I was still with him, I would be in the same position as her...but I'm not!

I have the most wonderful-est boyfriend in the world and I couldn't ask for anyone better.

So I'd like to take the time to thank you C for leaving me for the other girl. I couldn't be more happy.

I'd go with...crazy girlfriend.

I was talking to my cousin yesterday, and can I say...WOW! She's 16, a junior in high school and she's dating a 19 year old, a junior in college. They're both devouted Christians so I don't have to worry about them "doing" stuff, more so him pressuring her into things, but anyway.

Now, her boyfriend, I will call him...T. T did some stuff in his high school years that he now regrets. I can totally understand though because high school guys like to uh...lack of a better word, experiment.

My cousin, I will call her C, she is very mature for her age; in advice giving more or less. When it comes to her own relationship, not so much.

Now, maybe because she's still in high school and is still immature, but GEEZ, she over-thinks so much. I try to calm her down when she's in her rant, and no offense or anything, but if I was talking to her face to face, I would've smacked her. I don't like to get involved in high school relationships because a lot of them are very immature and the persons in the relationship is pretty immature, too (not all but most), but she's my cousin and I love her very much.

Anyway...C has some self-confident/self-image issues, which I don't understand at ALL because she's beautiful, but she does.

T has this ex he dated for 3 years in high school and they did end up..."doing" stuff, but he has cut off ALL contact with her, because of C. I think that's very sweet and caring of him, but somehow C still has problems with her even EXISTING. Even though T has cut off all contact with this girl, C still hates her from the very bottom of her soul. Why? I have no damn clue, she doesn't even have a clue as to why. I don't know how else to explain to her that she needs to stop thinking about his ex and just leave her be. I have his ex on my facebook (we don't talk) but C wanted my password just so she can look at pictures of her and just put her down in every way. Is C CRAZY? No, I'm not going to give my password to her.

C keeps telling me that his ex keeps popping up everywhere (they live in the same town). I'm told her, of course she does. It's like owning a Toyota Rav 4. If you never owned it before, you wouldn't even notice it everywhere. Once you own one, you're like, wow, it's everywhere. Get the point?

Anyway, C asked me if I thought the ex was pretty. Uh...no, and not because I love my cousin that much to lie to her, but really, she's not. She puts on 2 inches thick of foundation. I mean...is she hiding something? Anyone who puts on that much make-up is NOT pretty...sorry. However, I told C to try and not think about her...ever.

The ex isn't even in T's life anymore. C's just asking for trouble, seriously. She gets mad at the little-ist things, and it's absolutely hard to reason with her when she's on her little rant. I guess you can say she's a bit immature.

T chose C over the ex, right? Why worry anymore? The more C cares about T's ex, the more she's gonna push T away.

It was just amazing to see how much C cared about someone that USE to be in T's life but now has cut off all contact with her.
